Spring Cleaning: Tips and Tricks
"The objective of cleaning is not just to clean, but to feel happiness living within that environment."
- Mario Kondo
Afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
Today, we are talking about something that isn't the most popular thing people enjoy doing: cleaning. If I'm being honest with you, I hate cleaning, and I'm not alone in that sentiment. That being said, cleaning is such an important part of our lives. According to ThriveGlobal, regularly cleaning of your home can kill up to 98% of daily germs and helps reduce allergies. Cleaning is a part of life and something we cannot escape. Today, I'll be sharing with you some tips and hacks that will help make cleaning less of a chore and into something easy to do!
Cleaning Hack #1: Microwave Nightmare
Microwaves are one of the most used items in households, and because of that, they can often be the dirtiest. Food splatters are extremely common, and with the constant use of the microwave, those splatters become stuck onto the sides, top, and bottom of the microwave. Don't fret too much though, there's a way to make cleaning in this kitchen appliance easier.
Start off with a microwave safe bowl, and fill it up with one and a half cups of water. Add 15 drops of lemon essential oil, and microwave for 5-10 minutes. Simply wipe out the microwave after, and you will be on your way to a sparkling clean kitchen!
Cleaning Hack #2: Stainless Steel Stains
Stainless Steel pots and pans are a staple in most homes, but it can often be a pain to get stubborn food spots and stains out of them. The solution? Salt. Fill the pot with just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan. Add a lot of salt and bring to a boil. Let boil for 10-15 minutes and then wash!
